Go Renewable launches in 12 new areas of the UK

Following a successful pilot in South West England, Go Renewable is launching in 12 new areas of the UK to support more people in switching to renewable energy.

The online service from Energy Saving Trust and quality standards organisation MCS helps people install renewable technologies, such as heat pumps and solar panels, in their homes.

How Go Renewable works

Go Renewable aims to simplify the process of finding the right renewable technology and installers, empowering people to make informed choices in three easy steps:

1: For those ready to install, Go Renewable offers a comprehensive, independent home survey and Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) review for a one-off fee starting at £300, removing the cost and hassle of arranging multiple surveys to compare quotes.

2: Once the survey is complete, customers can post their project on the Go Renewable marketplace and be matched with an MCS certified installer.

3: When ready, users can schedule their installation, with everything from quote reviews to communication with installers, managed seamlessly within the Go Renewable hub.

We’re delighted that MCS and Energy Saving Trust have collaborated to create Go Renewable. This unique partnership focuses on the journey to installing renewable technologies, providing the confidence, guidance, and support consumers need to make the right decisions for their homes. Go Renewable is exclusive to MCS certified installers, ensuring high-quality installations completed to industry-recognised standards. We hope Go Renewable will bring real value to the country’s journey towards net zero. Dan White, Market Development Director MCS
Finding the right renewable energy solution for your home can be a complicated journey. We’re proud to partner with MCS to extend our Go Renewable installation one-stop shop to new regions. The hub supports every step of the process, from accessing a free online home assessment, to booking an independent home survey and connecting people with accredited installers for quotes. Inga Jirgensone, Business and Market Development Director Energy Saving Trust

For those still exploring renewable technology, a free online home assessment is also available to help assess home suitability, estimate installation costs and potential funding options available.
